Certified travel genius acknowledged for her continued education in the latest in the travel industry, Janelle Howard is the founder and owner of How We Travel - a travel and consulting company based in Fredericksburg, VA. For the past 3 years, Janelle Howard has been providing the best value in travel and entertainment to her clients.
A wife, mother, and 25 year veteran of the U.S. Army, Janelle has traveled the world experiencing new places and cultures. Once her husband and she started their family, they wanted to share those experiences with their kids. The one question she received the most was: "How do you travel with kids?" Her answer: "Plan ahead!" She began helping friends research and plan their family vacations. After years of being a stay-at-home mom, Janelle dealt with doubts and fears of her abilities to start her own business and jump back into the workforce. She wanted her daughter to see her professional side and know that women could do and be whatever they set their minds to.
In 2019, she started her own independent travel and consulting business, with the goal of creating one of a kind, unique experiences for each and every client. Having partnered with the travel industries largest corporations, Janelle specializes in solo, groups, families,and destination weddings and special events. She has created vacations utilizing many platforms to include all-inclusive stays, resorts, and vacation rentals. Janelle partnerships with the travel industry vacation leaders allows her to create one of a kind excursions to include helicopter tours, sailing, scuba diving, ATV rentals, and many other memorable experiences.
